Cuckoo Flower Crossbody Bag Pattern
This is a quick and easy crossbody bag pattern which showcases a fabric panel 9½” x 5½” (24.1cm x 14cm). It will also work with the Willowherb wristlet templates.
There is a panel detail on the front, a zipper pocket on the back, and a slip pocket inside with an optional snap fastening.
Suitable for beginners, with clear step by step instructions and plenty of photos.

The completed size of the bag is 6½” tall, 8¾” wide, and 1½” deep (approx. 16.5cm x 22.2cm x 3.8cm).
Pattern pieces are provided in A4 and US Letter size, ready to print and cut out. All measurements are also included in the instructions, for those who prefer to measure and cut.
Supplies needed:
- ½ yard main exterior fabric
- 9½” x 5½” (24.1cm x 14cm) accent fabric, or fabric panel
- ½ yard lining fabric (eg. quilting cotton)
- ½ yard Vilene F220 fusible interfacing or similar (eg. Pellon ES114 Easy Shaper iron-on)
- 1 piece 9” x 13½” (22.8cm x 34.3cm) Vilene H630 fusible fleece or similar (eg. Pellon 987F Fusible Fleece)
- 2 x 9” (22.9cm) #5 zippers (these will be cut down to 8¼” (21cm))
- 2 x ½” (13mm) D-rings
- 2 x ¾” (19mm) Swivel Lobster Clasps
- 1 x ¾” (19mm) Adjustable Strap Slider
Optional:
- 2 Rivets (small)
- Kam snap, sew-on press stud, magnetic clasp or Velcro for inside pocket
- Double-sided sewing tape or temporary fabric glue
- Sewing Clips
- 60” x ¾” (152.5cm x 1.9cm) Webbing for strap (instead of making a fabric one)
